Each year we are taking steps to be more environmentally friendly. We've begun using organic fertilizers. We use minimal pesticides, and spray at night to avoid killing bees and ladybugs. When possible, we choose plant varieties that are resistant to local diseases.
We try to grow items that other farmers don't: cherry tomatoes and heirloom tomato varieties, hot peppers in addition to traditional bell peppers, cut herbs, and flowers.
