The Monroe Village Farmers Market is a producer only market, which requires that all products sold be grown or produced within 100 miles of the Monroe Village neighborhood.
Our market is committed to providing food to the widest possible range of shoppers both to create greater access to the market and to increase sales for market vendors. Therefore, we participate in the Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP coupons issued by the state), and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly known as the Food Stamp Program), which administers benefits through an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) system. This system allows shoppers to purchase $1wooden market tokens from the managers' tent, which can be used to purchase a wide range of goods from participating vendors.
