Weather Update

The remnant of some midwestern storms will be passing through Rochester today. Skies will be overcast this afternoon. There might be occasional light rain for short periods. Don't let this keep you from the Market today!

New Farmer

Kevin of The Pasture Stand Farm raises organically fed chickens. He will be trying out our Market today for a trial run.

He will have frozen chickens weighing from 3 to 5 pounds. And he will have fresh eggs.

EBT Equipment Box

Many thanks to Teri and Joel for finding a nice box to hold our new EBT equipment together in one place.

And for the professional foam structure to keep the pieces safe and dry.

Red, Hot, and Blue Band

The Red Hot and Blue Band is one of Rochester NY’s Premier Blues/Blues Rock bands! RHB serves up a piece of Americana and Roots Rock that will caress your heart and soul like no other band around!! Red Hot and Blue’s music tells a story. It captures different moments in our lives that ring true for almost everyone. The music is uplifting, and the lyrics bring the happiness, perseverance, and joy that we all experience as we walk the winding road of life. Every song has a story attached to it that we can all relate to!


Monroe Branch Library

Adult Librarian Mary Clare Scheg will host our Community Table this week. Drop by and pick up a free book while learning about the library's autumn programs. Read below to get a taste of the library's offerings. Mary Clare will have more complete program information. There is something for every age group and interest.

Girls Who Code: Club for Girls Ages 12-18 Wednesdays from October 2 – December 11 (except Nov. 27) 4 – 5 p.m. Meet in the Teen Space. Snacks provided. Space is limited, so sign up at the desk to reserve your spot. Another class will begin in January 2020.

SPECIAL TUTORING PROGRAM: One-One Computer Tutoring. Need some help with job applications, resumes, research or other computer-related issues? Come to the Monroe Branch and reserve your spot for computer help. Tutoring starts on Thursday, October 10 from 4 – 5 p.m. and will be available on Tuesdays, from 11 a.m. – noon & Thursdays from 4 – 5 p.m. thereafter. Reservations are required.

Book Discussion Wednesday, October 23 at 1:30 p.m. We will be discussing the book “The Rosie Project” by Graeme Simsion.
