PREVIOUSLY AT THE MARKET

Welcome to the Market's 11th year!

This year, opening day is Wednesday, June 13.

Last year was a very good year for the Market. It is one of the smallest farmers markets around town, but loyalties on the part of vendors, volunteers, and shoppers are fierce! It is a great focal point for the surrounding neighborhoods. The food products are wonderful.

We appreciate the support of the Church through its continuing permission to setup on Wednesday afternoons.

Look for early season items: strawberries, herbs, rhubarb, cut flowers, hanging baskets of flowers, maple syrup, garlic. There might be asparagus, lettuce, beet greens, radishes, parsnips, and spinach.

FOOD and CRAFTS THIS WEEK

Sunscape Farms, Penfield

Strawberries, rhubarb, green house tomatoes, annuals, hanging baskets, herbs) and cut flower bouquets.

Timber Buck Maple, Bloomfield

Assorted salad greens, free range eggs, garlic, garlic scapes, honey, maple syrup, maple candy, and cut flower bouquets.

Clover Meadow Creamery, Lyons

Goat milk, goat yogurt, goat cheese and herbed cheeses.

GG Bakes, Rochester

Fruit pies, spicy ginger snaps, and a variety of cookies.

Farm Boy Products

Home made soap products and snacks for pets. (Later in the month, pole beans).

COMMUNITY TENT THIS WEEK

Cornell Cooperative Extension

Jessica is back!  She will be hosting the Community Table at  our market on the second Wednesday in June, July, August and September.  Then she will return for our final market in October.

She will again be preparing dishes using fresh produce from our market.  Come get your sample.  Her recipes are delicious and easy to prepare--and you can ask for a copy so that you can try them at home.

RECIPE FOR THIS WEEK

We are looking for cooks who will find, share, or submit their own recipes that take advantage of at least one ingredient available at our Market!

EBT, SNAP, FOOD STAMPS

The market has always welcomed shoppers in the various State and Federal supplemental nutrition programs. Farmers at our Market accept tokens and some coupons. See the Market-Day supervisor; bring your EBT card.
